a sustainable space for research and gatherings
The MUN Forest Centre at Grenfell Campus in Corner Brook provides space for research and teaching labs, seminar rooms, an insectarium, and remote geographic instrumentation systems. The Forest Centre is home to MUN’s Forestry Program, the Canadian Forest Service of Natural Resources Canada, and the Western Newfoundland Model Forest Inc. The atrium, with its abundance of plant life, high ceilings, and bevy of windows, provides an attractive space for a variety of gatherings. The glass wall in the elevator also provides a unique experience, especially when its taken from the bottom floor and passes through the various levels of soil and rock that lie beneath the building.
The MUN Forest Centre measures 3700m².
The MUN Forest Centre is located on Memorial's Grenfell Campus at 20 University Drive in Corner Brook, NL.
The MUN Forest Centre at Memorial's Grenfell Campus was completed in 1998 and continues to be used as the home for Grenfell's forestry program and as a hosting venue for various public and private events.
